All Ghanaians visiting abroad are expected to acquirre their visa's from the various embassies,depending on his/her choice.
Visa's are to be checked by the Ghana immigration before allowed to leave the country.

Declaration Fee
The statuary declaration fee, imposed on travellers, personal or business trips out of the nation of Ghana is declared compulsory by the Government of the people's Republic of Ghana,1992 Constitution,Article 754,Cross 1285
1.ONLY should be checked for Any Ghanaian leaving the country at anytime to any 1st World country,(USA,CANADA,EUROPE AND PARTS OF ASIA).
2.The minimum amount for declaration for first time travellers $2500 Business or personal
3.The minimum amount for declaration on second or subsequent travel out of Ghana is $1500 for persons who once travelled.
4.Checking of Luggage contents and personal checks on travllers should be ensured by Immigration Officials at all points to disallow illegal activities (drug trafficking etc.)
5.All travellers are to declare a fee depending on the type Immigration Requires declared,after passport,visas,and all travel documents are checked through.
6.Any Officer in charge of checking on a declaration fee should return amount back to traveller right the point of check and confirmation.
7.Declaration fee is compulsory and needed to ensure all Ghanaians abroad on long-term travel time live and has the assurance of the Government of Ghana, a well-based life outside. |
